Introduction: Shanghai Golden Gate (上海金门)

Shanghai Golden Gate (SHGG) develops and licenses custom enterprise and mobile software applications. These applications will most often be systems comprised of custom Java software that leverages high quality opensource products such as Linux, MySQL, Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, Cyrus IMAPD, OpenLDAP, Jabber, Asterisk and others.

SHGG retains exclusive rights to the methods of integration, and to all custom software used to create a complete, tailored, solution for its customers.

SHGG revenue will come from one time licensing fees for installation, configuration, and development of custom solutions, from license renewals, maintenance and support for these solutions, and in special cases from a percentage of customer revenues generated by the custom system.

SHGG plans to introduce a range of products in addition to custom solutions.

Products planned include:

• VoIP/PBX - server appliance based on Linux and Asterisk
• VoIP/WiFi - portable communicators (telephone replacements for use with the VoIP/PBX)
• Tech Backpack - sophisticated backpack for electronic equipment (will be carried by all SHGG personnel, and coveted by geeks everywhere!)
• Enterprise Messaging System (EMS) - server/appliance to provide e-mail and instant messaging, will integrate with VoIP/PBX or operate alone.
• Network Management for Wireless Devices - an appliance for monitoring and maintaining large numbers of simple mobile devices (such as the VoIP/WiFi communicators.)
• VoIP To GSM - hardware and software to turn a Linux computer into a cell phone, so it can be used as a gateway between the VoIP network and the cellular network (for voice and data.)

Possibility to partner with a compay which makes GSM-VoIP gateway solution. This product already integrates with Asterisk.

Using GSM for in/out of the PBX means a solution for "hunt group" of GSM lines is needed.
